my feeling this might even be a mockup or Model

...[It's] an Italian bird. The Ambrosini SS.4 which was built in 1938..tested and
crashed in 1941 due to engine failure. The 960hp Isotta-Fraschini Asso XI R.C.40 engine gave it a top
speed of 355mph. Armament was one 30mm and two 20mm cannon mounted in the nose.
I like Ambrosini's pocket fighters, trainers, and postwar GA birds. Sleek Italian birds generaly similar
to some of the French Caudrons. The pic posted is one of the 3 examples provided in
Jonathan Thompsons, "Italian Civil and Military Aircraft, 1930-1945".
