I think those "bumps" are the hand rest for the trackball and buttons in front of them.

'Fraid I'm one of these odd people, I am left handed but.....flew right handed in gliders and could not for the life of me fly left handed.....when I did try it once I was like Bambi....out of co-ordination!! :brick:

The red button is common to all Airbus side sticks - its a lock out button - so if the other guy has a heartattack or something and has a death grip on
the sidestick the PF(R) (remaining
) can press the red button and it disables the other side stick so he can fly the aircraft. The button that changes
views is about two inches below your chin ;-)
