I understand what you are saying and I don't think for a moment that pressure was you intention
There are other ways of keeping threads alive....perhaps a if anyone here had responded a general no name post thanking their support would keep it alive.
Simply, we don't want to encourage 'bumping' as such which goes on quite a bit in some forums by folks trying to keep pressure up on requests.
Your good intentions are understood....it was just the method
