Going from an X1950Pro to an 8600GT is quite a downgrade. I wouldn't recommend that.
A bird in the hand will probably sh!t on your wrist.

Think i am going for the 2 x 3850's SLI......Equivalent to a top end Nvidia card and half the price.....

very interesting ian,
I was suprised to see the GTS8600 cards placed as they were.....
the 256 card beat out the 512 card, with both cards having the same specs otherwise.
wonder if that was a typo..

I think with my system i have the X1950 Pro is now the bottleneck and i want to upgrade the card/cards to last a while.....
Now make me a decent offer on the X1950 and you never know mate......
