Invicta Passenger Vanguards

I never flew on a Vanguard but if I had once and it had been 'OP I would be happy to have it for that reason alone

May people have made a lot of money out of the Titanic tragedy for instance but this is not any glorification of the accident to the aircraft as it is in the case of the liner

This paint is of a fleet member and had it's time and place,

I do it and then each of you has a choice and that is the same with my paint of G-APFE the 707 G-AMOL the Viscount and the up and comming Superfreighter G-ANWL.

It is not for me to make a choice for anyone or deny anyone anything just because I feel it is inapproproate in a way that the product is not after all intended.

I appreciate the concerns ..........and that is life.......It is not bundled with anything so you know before it's downloaded.

One other point is the paint is showing it in an unfinshed repaint and as such is not exactly how it appeared at the time of the tragedy

I have more reason than most to not want Oscar Papa included as a paint, Dan Air handled Invicta at Luton,
and I was directly connected with the departure from EGGW the morning of the accident, all of the ramp rats
were effected because we all know the crew, especially the cabin crew. Garry and DaveB have stated the case
elequently , a history of Invicta's Vanguard fleet would not be correct without it, and I was aware of its tragic end
prior to my question to Garry. However unlike others I didn't deem to mention it.

G-AXOP in a partially finished repaint. Invicta changed the striping slightly so when a nose cone from a

different aircraft was added the livery did not match.

Thank you all for your observations. It is a difficult topic with aeroplanes because over the years there have, of course , been lots of accidents. The difference with this one was that it had an enormous effect on a particular, and small, locality ( with which I had been connected ) . I had not realised that it had positioned from Luton that morning

All three of the Invicta Vanguards "lived" at Luton most of the time - if memories serves correctly - They positioned LTN-BRS
about 0500lcl - The only reason i remember was it was a hell of a long way to drive all the way round to the Ponderosa to do
the Weight and Balance for an empty aircraft - Invictas Flight deck crews were from all over but most of the Cabin crews
were local Luton girls.

This was the last UK registered Vanguard to carry fare paying passengers.

Each of the five paints is different and represents various livery variations a details throught the time with the airline
