Dear Garry

I am a little hesitant about seeing OP reincarnated. It figured in possibly the nastiest accident to befall a British airliner, which killed a large proportion of the young mothers of Axbridge and two other West Country villages, on a women's day trip to Basle.Would it be better to leave it out?

No

There are all kinds of reasons why something could be left out

This is about when it was flying

it is there for those who want it

If you don't just ignore it

I well remember the crash and it was a very long time ago

Hi Chris,

I aired the same concern to Garry a while back but as he said, this is about the aircraft while it was in service and to that end.. I agree. In that spirit, I can choose to use the airframe on our VA routes or ignore it ;-) A paint for EchoCharlie has been available for some time (years) and over the last few days, I've finished EchoEcho.. both of which suffered a tragic end. The VA operates both registrations on historically accurate routes but as with OscarPapa, our pilots can choose to use other aircraft should they so wish :)
