vc10 - 5 years on

Post by freddielaker2 »

I started my quest for the one and only Laker VC10, Dave said no, everyone else I asked said no, its now coming up to 2008, Freddie's resting in peace and the VC10 has an anniversary - so could it be my year? I tried and failed. I have a tablet to draw on, psp, photoshop and fs repaint - can I get it right? can I heck. So can Dave or someone in this forum put me out of everyones misery?

Hi FL2 :)

Things don't change around here much. DM will still say no as will most others! However, Techy111 has a thread on this very forum called 'Requests Taken'. He's recently done an Anniversary VC10 (101Sqn) and may.. given the right incentive.. attempt doing a Laker one for you. Then again, he may not but you'll never know unless you ask ;-)

There never was a Laker livery VC 10 and that is why it has not been done and the reason given each time the request is made

Laker bought G-ARTA but leased it to MEA until they sold it to BUA

Laker NEVER flew it and I hope will not suffer the horrors of the 'Queen of the Skies' in a false livery

So please no fake livery requests as per rules ;-)

I thought it was temporarily in laker colours, as there was a photo I saw way back and it had the black and red band on the tail, unless Ive been looking for it in vain for the last 6 years or so I have been deceived..... I didnt request a fake scheme on a model that wasnt my intent at all. there was a site back in the days of compuserve when I was looking one late shift at aircraft (as one did) and there it was in the background at one of the piers at Gatwick. I did save it to a floppy but that was then... 1 divorce later (minus house, aircraft books lp's etc....) its gone the way of the aircraft itself. Didnt mean to mislead thought it was to the point I was positive. :-# :$ :$ :$ :$ :$

Sounds like me. Unfortunately Garry I'm struggling to get some Tomtits, 504Ns and a much delayed couple of DC-3s out the door. Maybe in EUtime for FSXXX.

Freddie Who? :) Anyone planning on knocking out an Accountant.
