Wonderful Dan though what was that I heard? Post a letter at the end of the day in London or Paris.....Arrives the next day in New York??!! Cor Blimey, haven't things changed over the years. It now takes days here for a letter to go just a couple of miles!! :brick:

Nigel.

Dunn Nigel :dunno:

I think our local PO has it well under control..they seem to have doubled up the whole operation

It now cost twice as much to post a letter and it takes twice as long to be delivered

Cheers for that link Dan :)

Nice film Dan though perhaps these days, it might be called 13 not so magic hours if you add in the 6 1/2hr delay :)

A few years later and Concorde trumped all this PanAm bragging! Our daylight 747 flight from JFK to LHR left at 1000. The early Concorde from LHR arrived at 0940. The last thing to be thrown through the door before it was closed were three bundles of London newspapers.

Our First Class passengers were able to read the London papers with their kedgeree and kippers after take-off. What do you think of that, PanAm?
