Re looking at this great scenery makes me think that a 1970's UK scenery would look stunning I know Toby did Southampton as well so I guess things are moving in the right direction, it also shows the average age on this forum...when we think back to the good old days.. and I dont mean the TV programe with that bloke pretending to be the callmaster at a victorian bingo..oops music hall show!
If I wuz cleva I wood do a brumageham ( spoken in best brummie) as I am not I will just enjoy these offerings
great stuff.

It's not amazing detail scenery, with all the bells & whistles. Simple but effective is what I'm aiming at.
David, that is an understatement you made.......its' absolutely brilliant!! :welldone:

Now I'm just wondering whether or not we are to see this as the beginning of a new dimension to your talent.

Just one point, if you are to continue with building airports, then no doubt there will have to be a slight change to the Forum Website name:

C.B.F.S.A. = CLASSIC BRITISH FLIGHT SIM and AIRPORTS.

Thanks everyone. As with most scenery, it doesn't look as good close up. Certainly does the job for me though, so I hope that it will for others.

There was a Trident in there Garry - Check out the shadow on the last shot. Unlike you to miss a clue like that!

The AI is brilliant. Amazing to see them appear as you'd hoped & then park roughly where they ought to be as well (all works on some magic aircraft radius value in AFCAD).
The AI is mostly already available on Avsim etc, but you do have to go looking for it. You need TTOOLS by Lee Swordy to edit the AI flightplans & aircraft.
There are good AI models for most early airliners. I've got 430 Mb of freeware AI for the 60s & 70s.
You can also download lots of flightplans. Even some modern plans work ok & you can simply alter the aircraft file, swaping new Airbus types for similar sized oldies & there you go.

And it's the people who make incredible tools like AFCAD, EZ-Scenery, FSDS that have the real talent. Thankfully these folk know that 'ease of use' is the most important thing.
You have to credit the MS team with making it all possible, but by 'eck they can make their stuff difficult to fathom.

Agreed, it is a bit moisture free Steve. Perhaps I'll make it 1976 instead & it can be that long summer we had.
Manchester & Rain, it is a myth really.
I just had a look on t'internet & Manchester is apparently only 9th in the list of rainy cities, but then you can't read too much into that when Manchester is also officially listed as the 9th largest city in the UK (population).
It has strange border issues which make official figures near meaningless. Strictly speaking, Manchester United really do not come from Manchester, even though Old Trafford is only a couple of miles from the city centre and everyone knows that they do.
Even us City fans know that they really do - it's only like childish teasing when we mention the fact that they officially don't. HELP
Old Trafford isn't included in the population count. And the real Old Trafford (cricket) isn't either.
I'm getting off topic.

110% sure there will be no other airports in the series. EGCC is where I grew up & I just wanted to see it back like it was. :)
