Incredible Graham, many thanks for sharing.

The photographs just show how wonderful and tranquil our planet looks from above......But sadly below, there is a dark side to its' splendour!!

Ooops, so sorry, just got carried away with my thoughts. :roll:

But I was meaning the quality of the lens/cameras etc in picking up all that small detail in such a sharp way.....compared to how the space pics have been in the past............they are incredable now :)

True enough, although a lot of early stuff has been through the mill by the time we see it (EG from film to print etc then scanned) - but there are some images coming online now from Apollo/Skylab era that are absolutely mind blowingly sharp - of course these days we have the hardware and software to fully do justice to the pics. ;-)
