Ditto that :)

Dave - do you know that I can't remember what happens with Raw+jpeg on my 350D?? :$

There is one anomaly I discovered, that no-one else apparently had - , but, every RAW file has an embedded JPEG (IN the 350Ds case it's 1536 pixels wide - this is what you see on the screen of the camera and use to look at before opening the RAW on the PC) - anyway, shoot an image in Tv - and the 350 embeds a full size (3456 pixels wide) jpeg!!!

I only noticed by file size ( I very rarely come close to filling a card) when viewing on the PC and wondering why some shots were way up at 12meg!

Nothing changed in the firmware since then so it's a 'watcher' for 350D users.

Hey guys to put you out of your missery, i went to John Lewis' n looked there (about as useless as PCW), then later in the day found Jessops, looked, had a play with the Olypus E410 and also the Nikon D40X... Well walked out about an hour later with one Nikon D40X Click Me, with the Sigma 55-200mm at half price + 10% off Click Me and a bag for it all to go in! I chose the Nikon over the olympus for a number of reasons more on the fact that i could have the larger lens in the package and still be cheeper than the olympus with an equilivent lens... Now i have to wait till chrimbo to get my mits fully on it...

Hi Chis,

I don't know much about the D40X (will read the spec) but half price + 10% is a great deal. Have you got a smaller lens with it too??

Edit..
Checked the links and I see you bought the camera with lens for a good price and the Sigma at halfprice+10% so yup.. a very good deal. I doubt you'll be disappointed ;-)

got a tripod? ........best when shooting 1/60th and under ........try and keep the f stop at around f/8 or 11 to use the best part of the glass.
