That's sad news Dan. Thirty-odd years ago, he was every boy's idol.. even on this side of the pond and became a household name :-(

Very surprised he managed to make it to 69 considering what he's done to his body over the years.
Entertaining sort of guy

Very sad :-( when remebering how in his heyday he almost seemed indewstructable.

There was even toys made of him.

wow news travels fast these days
I just heard it on the TV here.. you know there wasa real good show he did not so long ago about his life and
a number of his junps were recounted as well as a few stories of his private life
the last I saw of him was just the other night on a religious program and he wasn't looking so good
he seamed to have made his peace with God.

his site is either down or I need to wait my turn.

The original and the best. Perhaps as much for the failures as the successes.

Sad indeed. :-( A larger than life showman of immense bravery and skill. As Dave says, an Idol of the '70s. I remember I had a toy motorbike that you pulled back and it wheelied etc. As with most of my stuff back then I probably wrecked it.

Quite depressing - another bit of our living history no more :-(

I took more than a few tumbles (usually over the handlebars) from my bicycle immitating him when I was a kid. Ahhh, memories. Rest in peace, Evel.
