Ito-San throwing in the towel??

Post by FlyTexas »

I've been reading a thread (at Sim-Outhouse) which quotes Ito-San as saying "I stop my work being going to be opened to the public on the net in the future." Is he calling it quits? Is he going payware? The common thought at SOH is that the whiners (they mention CBFS  , although not by name) as the reason for Ito-San's decision. Looks like the community might have lost another modeler. :-(

It looks like one post and no-one has echoed his sentiment. I didn't realise we were (in)famous at CBFSim.

I blame whoever interprets for him as they have given Mr Ito the wrong end of the stick.

I have seen more people moan about the flight dynamics on the Outhouse than here.

It's probably the offer of help to fix the smoothing groups that did it.

if it is then the interpreter needs shooting as i can't see that as a cause to quit. :dunno:

Oh well, each to their own.

I get 1000's of critical e mails from people & if i don't like the question or the tone i just delete the message & block the sender
Easier than getting pi**ed off for making freeware

Regards
Rick

I think it is not a matter of anything we or anybody else at the users end has said or done, it seems that some 'host' sites within the FS community that may or may not make a membership charge have been using his work in promo pages of thier websites. It seems that this is what has annoyed him, at not for the first time.

Hi,

I just had a quick shufti over there and there it's all speculation on the reasons why/if he choses this course of action. One possible reason quoted is the fact the he objects to anyone trying to convert his aircraft for use in Combat Flight Sims. I don't think that constructive criticism as shown from this forum with offers of help from our designers to help enhance his skills would be his reason to stop. People trying to convert his models against his wishes is another matter and could force him 'underground and release to a chosen few.

I'd consider any complaining about your models Rick, suspect

probably just out of envy and jealousy from selfish folk who have only a deep resentment.....
.................... for being born

good greif..

as for Ito... I hope he can find peace
I cerainly understand how one can feel when he feels wronged
or Is , (has been wronged) , it's just the nature of the game (this world)
............one must suffer fools who just don't know better.

FALSE ALARM!!!!!!!
He was grumpy about some guys converting his model to combat sims (he is a pacifist), but he now says he will continue making models CHEERS
.....I wonder what it will be this week!

(whew) That's a relief. All's well that ends well. :) So this whole Ito-San throwing in the towel thing was over-inflated from the start. I guess you could even say this episode was blown all out of proportion. :worried: I'll get me coat. ;-)

Hi Guys

I will; be very pleased if Kaz Ito is not giving up as he has made some blinders that even i fly.

My Advice to anyone taking up FS Modelling is don't take to too seriously as it makes it more painful.

I too have my critics and although everyone here thinks they are perfect i don't and neither do lots of others.

the trick is too not let it get to you.

it's got to me a few times but my skin has thickened and i get a huge buzz from the global thanks e mails when a new model is released.

you can't beat it :dancer:

I just wish more people had a go at modelling as it';s a lot easier than you think.

par example ! Garry Russell has turned out to be better than me already and he's only part way through his first one

if you can paint models your well over half way there. :drinkers:

Regards
Rick
