Not well recorded
Back in the seventies it was mentioned with a small pic in an Aircraft Illustrated article.
Those times and that part of the world was not noted for it aviation enthusiasm......not as we know it.....they were just machines to do a job.
It's only really the British end that stops it being forgotten totally

Thanks Garry! I saw some pictures of the Lincolnian about a year ago, but these particular ones are new to me. The intended meat trade was from Argentina and Uraguay back to the UK, if I remember correctly.

The meat trade rings a bell from the original article.
It's a long time ago the one and only time I came across it and these pics really show it clearly which was not the case in AI oll though it was enough to see what it was.
Funny how with the extra fuse depth you can sort of see Shackleton in there which is not quite so clear in the standard bomber.
It would certainly make an interesting model subject both in FS and the "Airfix" sense. :think:
