Return of the blurries!
My HUGE FS9 has started to suffer from blurry textures and micro stutters as the blurries pop back into focus. This may be because FS9 is about as big a whale that has been eating Christmas lunch for its entire life, or maybe something else?
Any ideas? I have 2 gig of RAM (but could do with a new video driver). Most of my flying is done at below 6000ft and with photo real texture complete with auto gen and all settings set to max. FR's are fine, 29.8/9 with the lock set to 30FPS, setting this to a lower number does not help.

... and try unlocking your FPS. There should be no need to lock it after the 9.1 patch is installed ;-)

Re: Return of the blurries!
Thanks guys, after my shock of what comes up in FS9 after a new .cfg
, I have got an improvement of the blurries by about 50%, still got stutters though. Cheers Ben.
Dave, I tried 'unlimited' but the fluctuations seemed a bit distracting as I went from 70FPS to 25 or so and back, keeping at 30 seems to cut the big fluctuations down. I guess that new driver update is on the cards ;-)

I tried installing the 9.1 patch after a complete re-install.....problem was I'd installed all my add-ons prior to this and it didn't work. Is that normal?

Re: Return of the blurries!
9.1 should install OK with whatever add-ons you have. Did you do a back-up/restore point first?

Re: Return of the blurries!
No, didn't do that. The self installer just kept failing to install it. Can't remember what the error message was. Another technical question........on some of my aircraft the internal view sounds are all distorted and corrupt. The models that have this anomaly seem random and quite often they cause FS to crash and then my whole PC freezes. Any ideas?! Don't fancy a complete re-install but if thats the only option then so-be-it............

The 9.1 update will not install if some things have been changed from FS9...It is very fussy and you have to replace things that have been changed by addons with the original items from the CD. The 9.1 update will install cleanly into a fresh install of FS9...This is why a lot of people never got around to putting in the update, which is a shame because 9.1 is a great improvement and as far as I'm concerned the best Flight Simulator ever produced by Microsoft :flying:

Re: Return of the blurries!
Thanks for the reply......I'm now 3 hours into a fresh install of FS9.1!
Re: Return of the blurries!
All re-installed but I keep getting stutters etc, I'm trying a variety of tweaks but any suggestions are gratefully received!
