Having just given it my usual flight test routine I suspected that all was not well with the FD files. A close inspection of the cfg file revealed that despite the aliasing to the default cessna sounds it has a turbine engine !!
A quick attempt to amend this to a recip engine cause some mayhem with the performance. The boost meter went up and down without much actual power response. In addition, when you try and stop the engines the props keep spinning forever
Restoration of the turbine engine does allow the props to stop spinning, but only after a considerable lag appropriate to a turbine.
I like the visual model - better than some previous renderings of this plane but I'm wondering whether it will be worth the major overhaul of the FD files required and as my knowledge of mdl files is zero, I've no idea how I'll fix that prop spinning problem. :brick:

IF it had the Merlin then it might have been a lot better. But it didnt, think it was the only aeroplane to have the Peregrin engine. Wasnt used in the Battle of Britain.
As to the flightmodel. It may have turbines or whatever, but remember it is free. He's trying his best, isnt he?
The guys over at Sim Outhouse are working on a new FD for it.
Ito's normal smoothing group problems don't seem as bad on this model, hidden by the textures perhaps.
As a stop gap, I have replaced the sound with Merlins and used another aircraft file. Only problem at the minute is the tail wheel has fresh air under it - as did the original - and I am not sure what to alter to get it in contact with the ground, cause STUPID
