Acceleration and Gen-X Scenery

Post by ChrisHunt »

I finally got Acceleration today (I was tempted to call it "Slowed" cos it took so long to arrive - from Play.com) and can report the following:

Previously with SP1 I had dreadful stutters when using Gen-X, in fact it simply wasn't usable so I disabled it. With Acceleration I now have no stutters apart from the occaisional FSX pause (for thought obviously); however (and it's a biggish however) there is now a peculiar rippling effect on the screen when doing things like banking and turning. Someone somewhere called it the bow wave effect and it is a bit like that. I dare say there may be a fix but it's a bit off putting.

As an added bonus Dave G's Hunters now keep the rain out - the glass is back!

I only had 20 minutes or so playtime so I didn't do much but appart from the Cadbury Ripple first impressions are generally positive.

Regards,
Chris

Sounds to me like you need to enable V-Sync.
