British Independant Airlines 46-76
On my way down to my daughter's estate in the Sarf East I dropped in at the Aviation Hobby Shop in West Drayton and picked up a copy of "British Independant Airlines '46-76". They are selling it for £12.50 - half the price quoted on their website, which is pretty good for a 320 page hardback with lots of piccies in between the airline histories.
They also had one copy of R.E.G.Davies' Imperial Airways tome, which I just had to snaffle as well. SWMBO then dragged me away before I spent any more.

I reckon it's excellent value at £25 so for £12.50 it's a steal. I've had my copy a while now and find it a superb reference book. If anyone is dithering about getting a copy, don't, go get it NOW!

Re: British Independant Airlines 46-76
Is this book based on the four volumes of "British Independent Airlines since 1946" that were published by LAAS International and MSAS in 1976/77?
The dates would seem to match but can anyone confirm - then I can decide whether I need it (and give Tony his exercise).
Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,
From the 'Introduction', this is a reprint into a complete 'volume-in-one' with only a number of minor modifications to the text. This reprint was done due to the scarcity of the previous volumes and the numerous requests he recieved for copies from the author's 'secret' supplies, which he sadly didn't have.

Thanks John.
Since I have owned the 4 original volumes since the beginning of time, I don't need this book
