We've done one of those with the CAF's R4D-6 'Ready 4 Duty'. :)

Congrats Tom.

Oh, and if the parents are fairly well off, why not Las Vegas? Loose all their money for them and get to see all the cool airplanes at Nellis.

Oh, wait, Leif lives there.... on second thought, go to Reno or Laughlin. At least with Laughlin you can fly with Leif's employer without necessarily having to run into him. :)

Just kidding Leif.

Tom

Given the rate of the Pound against the Dollar normally I would say anywhere in the states - However nothing here either exotic or memorable

I agree with DelP about Belize - the keys there are incredible - the diving is great and you will get alot of bang for your buck.

However personally - If you want to find somewhere exotic, off the beaten track and ideal for a honeymoon - may I suggest Tulum in Quintana Roo

Mexico - flights to and from Cancun I understand are now available from the UK - the price would be excellent - from Cancun you have a choice of

renting a car and taking your chances on the coast road from Cancun (Strong consittution and nerve required) or AeroCaribe Jetstream from Cancun

(stonger constitution and death wish required).

Check here --- http://www.locogringo.com/tulum/

Of course if you have the wherewithal required (ITS NOT CHEAP) - I woudl also suggest Maui - specifically Hana -

Thanks for all the suggestions

Del, not sure I'll make it to Belize as there is talk that the air force is looking to drop it and move everything to Kenya if it continues to be successful.

Mexico does look amazing, an excellent choice for us and our adventurous sides.

I'm transfixed on China and Japan at the minute. Not sure my fiancée is thinking the same but I think 2 weeks between the two would be incredible. We both agreed it needs to be something that is completely different and something we probably will never manage again. With China rising up as a military might again I think that option may go soon!

Remember my stay in Japan on my way to Australia. 9 hours on a flight from Heathrow to Japan on my own. To my left, a Japanese man that didn't seem to speak English. To my right...the same. Brilliant. The food on the aircraft was great (Thanks to the western option! Thank you JAL!) as for food at the hotel, no idea. Got there late, drank until the sun turned up and then got back on a flight to Sydney. Marvellous!
