Avsim contacts?

Post by Quixoticish »

Does anyone have any contacts at Avsim? I've been contacting them for weeks from numerous e-mail address to ask them to remove some of my repaints (I made a mistake and they won't work in FSX) however everything is going unanswered.

Trev (calypsos) was a staff writer but has become ostricised due to his lack of affection for FSX. He may be able to point you in the right direction though ;-)

Thanks guys. Managed to get hold of someone thanks to John's PM, all sorted now. They may only be daft fictional repaints but it annoys the hell out of me if I know I've buggered something up in the zip.

Sorry I missed this one :$ , I have taken a step back from Avsim, although I could still do some stuff on my terms.

Mr Whitwell was one of the reasons I gave up, he promoted one of his mates to a Senior Reviewer after one review, and that person has not done a review since. When I pointed out the fact that I had 3 years of service and 20 odd reviews as well as the only (very popular) freeware column on the site, he said he had ''overlooked me" by mistake!

As a volunteer, I decided to quit from the staff side, so I could write for other sites if I wanted to. The new reviewers they hired only wanted to do the latest stuff and my PC will not do FSX add-ns the justice Avsim are looking for

Hi Folks

Trev -
Hope you don't mind me asking,
but I'm intrigued,
do reviewers in general get paid for their pieces ?

i.e. If they do a puff-piece for an upcoming product ?
e.g. Flightsim.com - Rescue Pilot Mission Pack

Hi Paul,
no reviewers do not get paid! The 'reward' is to enjoy a free copy of the payware product being reviewed. I went against the trend by doing some freeware stuff and in a couple of occasions even paid for the product I reviewed :worried:
