PMDG 747 for FSX

Post by Pielstick »

Just noticed this was released last night.

Check out the price! A regular price of 64.99 Euro, but they have it on offer at the moment for 59.99 Euros.... and a 50% discount for existing customers of the FS9 version.

I also see they have packaged an update for the FS9 version, with quite a few tweaks and fixes, but you have to purchase the full FSX version if you want the FS9 update.

Woooow. Anyone willing to place a bet on when we'll break the 50 quid barrier for an addon aircraft?

I'm not paying that much for an update to the fs2004 version!

Just a hair under $94. That's almost M$ pricing! :o

Guess I won't be getting this one. Oh well, I already decided I wouldn't be getting the MD-11 either even though I love the panel guy...

One their sales fall through the floor, they'll rethink their pricing scheme. Thank God for a free market system.

Quite a few people have expressed an interest in getting the FS9 update without paying for the full FSX version. A few people have even suggested they would pay a modest price if the FS9 update was released on its own.

I was looking forward to their MD-11, especially since they reinstated the FS9 version after the outcry when they said it would be FSX only, but I may have to reconsider if they are pushing their prices so high...

Pushing back the barriers in both FS design and pricing! You should be able to buy a whole 747 sim for that price, not just an add-on aircraft, however good it may be. I bet US sales will be poor, the dollar just hit a 25 year low.

Well the switch from US Dollar to Euro pricing earlier this year was put down to most of their customers being in Europe...

...and of course the 32% price rise when changing the price from 50 US Dollars to 50 Euros had nothing to do with it. Then again, maybe the Bureau De Change where PMDG are based charges a 32% commission for changing all those Euros back into Dollars? ;-)
