Top Gear last night
Hi all,
anyone see Top Gear last night? Richard Hammond decided to race in a Bugatti Veyron against a Typhoon. It was simply brilliant!
Anyone that did'nt see it. Here's your chance! ;-)

Re: Top Gear last night
Yeah, it was superb-o-mundo as they say
IIRC, the Typhoon Pilot is the same chap who displayed at Fairford, and gave a commentary from the Cockpit as he rocketed downward for a fast pass - I think he had a birthday greeting for his wife as well. :flying:
And I can't speak when I'm trying anything other than level flight in FS

Loved it!
Thanks for the link, Vegas. Reminds me of a similar race I saw once at an airshow between a Fieseler Storch and a horse. The Storch won the race but not by much.

You was the best there ever was.

Re: Top Gear last night
I belive Sqn Ldr Matt Elliott was the display pilot for 2004/5 and possibly 6, but Jim Walls was definitely the pilot this year.jab wrote:forthbridge wrote:He also been the Typhoon display pilot for 3 years might be him again next year.
As for Top Gear, a quality bit of programming! Some of the air to air shots were just superb. :o

Can't quite remember how much delay there is to BBC America, but I think it's about 6 months behind (we're only in week 4 or 5 of Series 1 of Torchwood) so I guess that's probably when I'll see this clip in the full episode.
Glad that we at least get it. :-)
