Peter,

Thanks for the link, I haven't tried it yet but it looks promising. I'm still using AGP so it's very relevant.

Cheers!

Well I'm using AGP and my card is a BLISS 7800GS+ AGP made by Gainward. My Nvidia drivers are 163.71 and my OS is Windows XP Pro.

My latest screenshots are here:-

And you can see that I get excellent Anti-Aliasing from just allowing FS9 to control it. You need to first turn AA in your Nvidia Forceware to None...then go there again and set it to Application Controlled. Now start FS9 and tick the AA box.

I have the Anistropic filtering in the Nvidea Forceware set to 16x.

Peter,

I tried out nHancer to control AA and can see where I was going astray. Now I've got the nVidia FS9 profile under control, the AA works both from the card and under FS9s own control, whichever I set and choose. I have to say that I can't see any difference in the quality using either method - in truth they both are more than acceptable. Like you I have set AF to 16 and the whole thing runs smoothly until I get to a detailed airport in bad weather. However I fly mostly around my neck of the woods so detailed airports are something I don't come across - the weather though :-(

Sounds good Andy...You have AA working :) ...Detailed airports...Well I use my base as a measure there...Anything that can handle my base with ALL its gubbins will cope with all major detailed airports with ease

I use real weather all the time and just accept some reduction in frame rates for cumulous type clouds. One thing I have found strange in the last few days...after operating with the Mesh slider set down at 60% for some time, I tested it up at 100% and was very surprised to find no reduction at all in frame rates here in Glacier Bay v2...I've just left it at 100 now and love it. It may just be something very efficient about Holger's mesh. May have to wind it down again when I go elsewhere :dunno:
