Belvedere?
Re: Model recognition contest
Sorry about the Belvedere, I thought that the second visual clue looked somewhat like the part that carried the rear rotor (rear rotor pylon?) and stuck up like a fixed wing aircraft fin, I forgot that the new acft is to CNB.

Re: Model recognition contest
Having seen that tip, I am going for a C-117 'Super' Dakota , not been done before and I think used by the US in Germany for years.

Wish it was a Belvedere

Didn't that one get the Ito treatment?calypsos wrote:Hmm, non British and not on airliners. net cannot be much that fits that bill that uses a VOR aerial. I see where the turboprop DC3 comes from, but I think not. How about a I.A. 50 Guarani II![]()

Here is Today's Tiny Texture Teaser:

Do keep thinking out loud ...
Incidentally, some very interesting potential modelling projects have been mentioned here.
See you tomorrow when I'll give you all of one propblade, maybe.

Re: Model recognition contest
It's definitely the early '60s livery which means it must be one of the following -
Convair 340
Convair 440
DC-3
DC-7B
DC-6
or
Viscount 810
There are no photos of the DC-7B on Airliner's during that time, so I'm guessing that's what he's done. Only problem is that I'm not aware of there ever being black leading edges on any DC-7s.
