Is it just me?

Post by RAF_Quantum »

or does anyone else have occasional probs navigating the forums?

Hi,

This only happens when navigating through CBFS forums. When I click on a forum, the thread icons appear momentarily and then disappear and reload/refresh. Being impatient that I am, if I click on anything before everything has refreshed IE more often than not locks up. Also, IE occasionally disappears altogether. This has only started to happen since last BB update.

Sometimes it seems to pause but I've not had anything quite like you describe.

Occasionally it won't load at all for a few minutes but I guess that is external loading on the net.

much improved after Ben sorted that awhile ago :dancer:

No, it is not just you. I am having similar difficulties, and also I find that in the middle of a viewing seesion, I get logged off and have to re-log-on. All very peculiar. Also, I often need to log on each time, despite selecting the automatic log on function. The wonders of electronics etc!

Hi Chris,
this is nowt to do with the forum and much more likely your machine / browser /AV / Firewall /etc etc config. It does happen from time to time, usually after I've been "dicking about" though, which I haven't for a few months. :worried:

I've had nothing like that John...

I do get slow re-loads at certain times of day...it's fine now and early mornings are OK...

I put it down to the fact that for the past couple of months a gang of BT guys have been staring into holes and trailing cables over the pavement...as I pass them on my way to work I'm seriously tempted to ask them if they want me to crawl down there and sort it for them........

XR219 : thanks for that advice . It may be my software, but the odd thing is that it happens in spates - e.g. this week the logon problem has occurred repeatedly, and then the difficulty will go away for some weeks, without any intervention on my part. Mysterious.
