Loss of Internet connection - how to report flight?

Post by dom1 »

Just completed a lovely flight from Geneva to Luton, all going swimmingly until I applied the parking brake. Error bong noise from PC and Flynet says it can't report the flight (presumably because my Internet connection is playing up)...

I remember from before you have to report the flight with the 4616 file from the Flynet folder but for the life of me I can't see where on the Flynet website you can do this... :dunno:

I've made a copy of the relevant file so it can't get written over etc but I just need to know what to do with it so I can get the flight credited.

Thanks in advance

Hi Dom,

On your booked flight page at Flynet, where the flight briefing is, hit the 'upload PIREP' button then navigate to your file ;-)

Hi Dom :)

I've not had this happen on the new server but in the bad old days.. it happened quite a few times. The place to log it is go to 'book flight'. You should see an option there that says 'Upload Pirep'. Point it in the direction of your 431.out file (in the Client folder) then add the 3-digit number in the box below. If all goes well, it will then report your flight has been recorded. If not.. give us a shout. Quite often, if it bounces (doesn't accept the 3-digit number).. if the flight is only a short one, it's as easy to fly it again than wait for Konny to get the flight included (via John). If it was a long flight.. then for John to pass it to Konny is probably the best way :)

Sorry chaps, actually found this myself in the last few minutes and then returned to see your kind replies!

I reported it and it worked fine so I'm a happy pilot again. Thanks for being patient with me :$

Hi Dom,

The upload pirep will only work if you have the code to enter. If you don't have it then its email to info[at]flynet.en-studios.de

Thanks John, I wasn't sure if the e-mail address had also changed when the login address changed...

Cheers
