Hi Guys,

Tim made 2 new liveries, both General Airlines GAL.

The first is the original livery, depicting DC-2-112 (MSN 1258.), registered as NC13732 and in September 1934 it became Fleet No.2 with
General Air Lines. After less than three months of service it was sold to Eastern Air Lines

The second livery is depicting the plane as flown by Colgate Darden, the previous owner of the Aviodrome DC2. He found the Aviodrome a worthy group to look after his plane, and sold it in 1999. Somehow he didn't paint the red arrow in the GAL logo on the nose.

In the last pic you see Mr. Dardens plane flying over Catalina Island, California. Also note the dorsal fin, which was added after the construction, and again removed in the current state of the plane.

The two liveries are now available at Avsim!

Cheers, Rob

Hi,

I just wanted to show you some pictures of the only DC-2 with a Canadian registration.
She flew for 'Canadian Colonial Airways' from 1938 until 1942 :) :

Hi All,

I'm happy to announce the service update for our Douglas DC2.

!!You don't have to buy the update!!

The update will be through the FLIGHT1 wrappers sytem.
Just click the "Click Here to Reinstall" button and keep your Flight1 key for the DC2 handy.
The installer will automatically install all files in the correct folders.
8
There is a dedicated update available >HERE< for FS9.

and also one >HERE<for FSX.

This file will work fine for FSX SP1.
For users of SP2/Accelleration, please also install the DC2_FSXsp2_propfix.zip, located in your FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\Douglas DC2 folder.
This will fix the propdisks in FSX/SP2 only. This propfix will NOT work in FSX/SP1.
The update will not work with DX10, only in DX9 mode.

You will also find that in the aircraft.cfg all available repaints are listed.
This can result in gray aircraft displaying in the aircraft selection menu. This can be solved by downloading our great repaints >HERE< :)

Items included in this servicepack:

- the right cowling fixed in interior view.
- a working knob for correcting the directional gyro drift in VC and 2D panel
(In the VC you must click with the left and right mouse button. The tooltip
tells you when you are done. In the 2D panel there are clickspots left and
right of the button. The knob turns in VC and 2D panel)
- some small texture issues (fuel caps on wings Uiver)
- powercart sound (less loud)
- fuel booster pump sounds
- changing the radio: COM1/VOR2 and ADF/VOR1,
to match the original Aviodrome configuration. You can even change the
COM1 to ADF and the VOR2 to VOR1 individually.
- Original Operating manual added
- Updated documentation
- in the FSX version the moving rain textures in the VC are removed, so you don't have an opaque windscreen during rainy conditions

Cheers, Rob Cappers

I keep looking at this one, but the Iberia paint does it for me - what a stunner!

From what I've read I'm convinced, and since I received my bursary from university this week I have the money!
