Well I am not good at types off Spitfire's And all know about my favorite type is that it has clipped wings :$ :worried: Anyway moving on :D Well the models that I have is the Freeware alphasim Spitfire and I think its (The last) Spitfire type aswel is the Spitfire Pr XIX on this site http://www.simviation.com/fs2004vintage37.htm ?

It is included in the Just Flight / Aeroplane Heaven "Spitfire" set.

Here you go James :) Not the repaint but the real thing. 'The Last' had already departed Duxford last Sunday and the airshow had ended. Those that had not already left were preparing to do so (me included) when suddenly.. there was a roar of RR Griffon and 'The Last' appeared once more to buzz the airfield..

Image

The pilot is the 'boss' of the BBMF and couldn't resist 'one more' flypast before departing :) Fortunately, I was able to grab my camera and record the event ;-)

Thanks Dave thats a nice shot
The pilot is the 'boss' of the BBMF
yeah Squadron Leader Al Pinner he also flew the other Spitfire into DUX for the mainteance. Is it because the rest of the BBMF pilots have gone back to there days jobs and Al is the only aircrew member permanently serving on the BBMF.

Hi James :)

I honestly don't know how the BBMF is structured. I'd presumed (perhaps wrongly so) that the pilots on strength were fulltime.. much as the Red's stay with the Red's for the duration of their tour. I'm sure someone here will know ;-)

I've always be under the impression they were volunteers flying in their spare time. :dunno: ...but it would be nice to know for sure. :)
