UK2000 Edinburgh Extreme!

Post by TSR2 »

Gary has released the latest in his Extreme series.... Edinburgh!

When taxing and taking off the frame rates are good.

Here's a few screenies...

Love the old tower and hangar in the first shot ;-)

I'm a bit concerned his approach lights are a bit bright/big as they were in Glasgow Extreme  Do they look ok 'in use'??

I'd say they were a bit bright too Dave. He hasn't modeled the railway embankment at the eastern runway either, the approach lights in the real worl are east of that again and mounted on pilons. Other than that its pretty acurate. There is too much AI traffic arround the airport for my liking (i.e. not air side, but in the carparks etc.)

Other than that, i think it looks the dogs doodas, love the photo textures on the grass. :)

Looks Good :)

I would say that the Tower looks a little too white (more silver) for my liking (from all the screens Ive looked at) - and a western runway exit is missing (positioned where the main taxiway extension is visible in white).

But this has the full length TW now, so no more annoying turns at runway's end

EDIT: The west exit is on the FSX screenie on the UK2000 site, but it doesn't show in Jonesey's screenshot - perhaps just the angle?

EDIT 2: Of course I meant Ben's Screenie - not Jonesey :dunno: :-#

Hi Jim... its all there... promise. ;-)

The screenies look a little blurry when they are sized down, but its a great rendition. Only thing I can see is that the old radar is slill there, this was removed last year.

Cheers Ben, that addition [taxiways] alone makes it worthwhile IMO ;-)

All it needs is AES :)

Weather in that last shot looks the same as when I flew in this morning :)

Oh and btw, I was just wondering what cloud sets you use in flight environment?

:o

Just installed it - absolutely brilliant!! Looks superb at night as well :)

Jonesey, what is that Continental A/C in your screenie? I've the IFDG 757, without the winglets in Continental livery - but I can't see if your model has winglets... :)
