having got used to Rick Piper's wonderful Aeroprakt Foxbat and now using it for all my current VFR flights, is there any chance that someone had got the time and patience in re-producing G-CBGJ, a Foxbat that I am lucky enough to go flying in down at Bodmin in Cornwall. The owner is very happy with his acquisition and I believe it is the 2nd example built (it has a digital panel instead of Rick's analogue one....think this was an early design feature to help keep the weight down).
Please find two links to photos of her taken this year. The yellow sticker on the nose reads 'AEROPRAKT' and the name under the rear cockpit section is 'Bill Davis-Smith'.

I hope so....I confess to being just a somewhat casual virtual flyer and just dont have the time or the patience in doing what all these people do here to make our lives more enjoyable! I nowadays seem to find myself doing the real thing more and more now (could have had a decent PC on what I've been spent this year) and only return to the sim for a hour or two a week to regain my 'rating'.ukmil wrote:should be an easy one to do ;-)

I just dont know what to say....I'm well so impressed (speechless in fact)....thank you very much.
Pity that you are at the other end of the world as I'm sure something could be arranged in the form of some flying.
Again thank you very much. What with is going on in my life at the moment (Mum being ill) you have made my day!!
Thanks,
Martin

Re: Perhaps this is the wrong place to ask....but
Sorry about that....dont know if I'm coming or going in the last few days. Toured Scotland in a Auster 9 two months ago and for some of the flights it seemed as if it was at the other end of the world!!! Almost kissed the ground at Prestwick, but then my backside had fallen asleep hours before, so it was a struggle to even climb out. Such hardships!!ukmil wrote:no worries

Only thing I failed to mention and something that cant be seen in either photo is the registration under the port wing. Should be I think referring to my memory and when craning my neck upwards should be in big black letters facing forward as per usual. Apart from that, I just dont what to say - its so good to be able to fly in something on the sim, that you have done in real life. I have a few, old XR240 done by Ito San, the Alphasim T-34 in one I flew at Waynesville Ohio in '98, your repaint of Martin Willing's T-28 Fennec and countless Alphasim T-6 and Harvard repaints - not all of the ones I've been in, but enough to keep me happy - and today you have made me very happy (and Steve Slater the owner too!). Thank you.
