Traffic version of the Comet RTW is released.

Post by petermcleland »

Well....Only here at the moment till testing is complete

These few shots were taken with the Traffic version and give an idea of how it looks:-

Those first two shots were taken over Freeware scenery from Holger Sandmann called Columbia River Gorge.

The next two were taken over Payware Scenery at FlightZone02's Portland.

The remainder are in Freeware scenery, Glacier Bay version 2 and my McLeland Field.

For reference if you wanted Columbia River Gorge then the files to find are:-

cr_gorge.zip

gorge_ai.zip

That second file adds excellent floatplane traffic to the scenery from the first file.

The manual alone for my Staff Tour Traffic Package in .pdf format at 14 pages can be downloaded from here:-

http://www.petermcleland.com/dl/RTWStaffTourManual.zip

That should make it easy to decide if such a package is for you.

The package itself comes in two flavours...One for those who have McLeland Field and another for those who don't.

I'm sending the main package for McLeland Field users to Jonesey for testing as he is right up to date with my base.

I'm wondering if anybody here who does NOT have McLeland Field would volunteer to test that version for me?

Lovely aircraft Peter but shouldn't it be hemp or grey with a canoe on top of the tailfin? (That should upset DM)

It IS for FS9 only and no.. you wouldn't be able to install it James (too much manual input required) :D

Hi Peter,

I must confess to not having yet installed McLeland Field :doho:

Obviously I only did this as I somehow knew that you were going to ask for a volunteer to do some testing without it (Honest guv..) :D

If I can be of any help I would be glad to.

Cheers

I have Mcleland field on my HDD - along with Glacier Bay v2 - but not yet installed as I think my machine will basically say 'What the bl**** h*** is this!?!?'

Still, I look at the files almost nightly. :worried: before thinking I'll wait a wee bit

EDIT:

I now have it installed, but it would be a fair bet to assume Peter will have AWACs up and bofors installed around the airfield for the next time I arrive - having crashed a floatplane into the QM2, attempted a helo landing on it's deck, tipped a Cessna on his runway - and crashed a Stalwart into a 146 sitting near the small aicraft park. Ooops!

Framerates are quite reasonable provided I don't expect to be doing 500 kts thu the mountains :)

Jim, glad to hear that you now have it installed and you are obviously seeing and crashing into things that are supposed to be there  Well, you can't now test the version for people without McField but you could test the version for those who do have it...I am particularly interested to know if it is OK for somebody who has not yet installed Glacier Bay v2...Have you installed that yet?

If you have installed Glacier Bay v2 then please remember there are updates you must make to McLeland Field here:-

http://www.petermcleland.com/dl/McLFiel ... orGBv2.zip

http://www.petermcleland.com/dl/McLFiel ... rcraft.zip

http://www.petermcleland.com/dl/Patchfo ... inLake.zip

You will need all three files...PLUS remember that McLeland Field must be ABOVE Glacier Bay in the Scenery Library...if it isn't then just highlight it in the list and click the "MOVE UP" button till it is.

Let me know, in a reply here, where you are at in all this and I'll give you the appropriate version of the Tour to test :)
