Great, so to get an RAF variant you need the base pack @ $39.99, plus expansion pack 1 @ $29.99. :o

Or wait a few months, I'm sure Justflight will bring out an updated version of their re-badged Captainsim Herc for FSX.

True, I suppose it is a bit of a kick in the teeth, although if I was going to purchase anything twice it'd be the CS C-130. I've had for more mileage out of it than I ever dreamed I would and I've more than had my monies worth the hours I've spent using it in FS9.

If that's the case mate, then it might be worth the kick in the teeth  Unfortunately, I've had very little use out of any of my CS purchases so for the sort of money they're asking, it's definately not worth my while. Anyway, I shouldn't be bothered as I've no intention of moving to FSX.. even though I have it :)

I've got FSX installed but I never use it, at the moment I find FS9 fits the bill far better. But I've got a nasty habit of "collecting" FSX upgrades that I can use when I actually do start using it in months/years to come. Needless to say it's an expensive habit.... :@

I'm the same Chris. Every one of the last batch of Alpha models I've bought, I've downloaded the FSX model too  At least you don't have to buy them again ;-)

Well, supposedly the "new" CS C-130 will be an all new aircraft (model, panel, gauges, etc) for FSX, similar to what Alphasim has done with several of their aircraft (and charged for). They've indicated that you'll have to pay full price for the new model even if you own the FS9 version (which I don't agree with), but 75% of my flying online is in the C-130, so I'll end up buying it and it'll probably be what moves me over to FSX full-time, especially if it's released before December and the start of Deep Freeze '08 (the annual real world and virtual world operation to resupply the South Pole science stations from New Zealand and South America).

Chris, if the development time frame is anywhere near that of their original Herc I'd be looking to plan for Deep Freeze '09 instead. :D
