I'm sure there are a few users on here.... of Google Earth I mean.
The latest version now has an extra feature. Press CTRL-ALT-A, or alternatively press CTRL-'Windows key'-A (I had to try a few times) and you've got a new flightsim. Control is via keyboard, mouse or joystick when installed. Click the mouse once on the view to switch to that control option, PgUP and PgDOWN for throttle control.
Enjoy!

I had to try a few times too. Try zooming in on a location first as it might not like flying in outer space (just my thoughts ;-) ).
Now that I got it to work, the option is added to the menu inside GE.

Re: Google Earth Flight Simulator
I've just reinstalled Google Earth at home (was playing... eehh... using GE for work purposes this morning) and I've managed to retrace my steps.
1. Click somewhere on the image, just make sure the cursor isn't blinking in the 'fly to' box.
2. Press Ctrl-'Windows key'-A
Zooming in wasn't necessary as it turns out.
