Regarding the screen refresh problem - Is that a default airport as far as scenery goes? (I only use FS9 so I have no clue) Have you tried turning down autogen and seeing if that makes a difference? Looks like a fair amount of buildings in the background and that could slow down refreshes. Probably not much help here but maybe worth a try. Oh, how about other graphic intense applications - are they showing the same symptoms?
Looks a bit like SeaTac to me  Not sure what the hell to advise though. I keep thinking lack of memory but considering it was working fine one day and not the next, I'm stumped
Firstly I'd back up important data to disc...just in case.
You mentioned that gaming was suddenly slow and one of your screenies made me think that data wasn't being read from your HD..it's possible that it's on it's way out.... :-( You didn't mention if Windows was starting OK or if there were problems with anything else.
Off the top of my head..open up your box, re-seat your graphics card and memory sticks..give it a clean out while you're in there.
ATB,
Derek ;-)

My fs9 went the same way on Thursday evening - back to FS98 graphics. Really frustrating because with my new graphics card I have been running virtually maxed out in both FS9 and FSX. The problem is only with FS9, FSX is running perfectly ok. FS9 even runs ok when loaded up from the VOZ page - but only on the VOZ scenery.
I have tried most things, downloading the latest graphics driver, resetting all the options in FS9 to default and then increasing/decreasing the settings but with no result. Perhaps if I deleted the existing FS9.cfg file everything might reset back to normal? My question is, where in Vista do I find the FS9.cfg file? Even with a system search I cannot find it!
