I've just installed this package and can confirm that it is a very nice representation indeed. Thanks, John. May I ask why there are no parking spots for transport aircraft? I'm sure that aircraft like C130s and possibly VC10s would visit occasionally, if just to assist in taking various squadrons on overseas detachments etc. Or doesn't this happen?

Keith, I have it from somebody based there that no C-130s/VC-10s are allowed to land there as the Crash Cat isn't good enough. Simply put there isn't the fire cover there for those aircraft to operate from there. Somebody obviously thinks that it's not worth the money.

What my source says is that anything for Coningsby lands at Waddo and then is transported by road. Daft but there you go.

Yes it is superbly detailed and I should know having worked here for 15 years as a civil servant, however one irritating problem is that when taxiing from the Has's the aircraft think they are on grass so throw up dirt from the wheels and it's a bumpy ride. Anyone know a fix for this?

I don't know about the FS9 version, but the FSX version comes with a fix for this.

It's a superb bit of scenery alright.

I wazzed over the BBMF hanger at 100' in DG's Lanc just like Stu Reid and crew did in PA474 at last year's Lincs Lanc Association bash.

The only problem I've got with it is that after uploading all the call signs with EditVoicepack,I seem to have lost all the ATC voice for Eastern UK except for Coningsby itself.
Come over to the West Midlands and all is well again.
One thing I did do that I haven't done before was to check the "accelerate ATC"box when I updated EVP.
Is it me,is it EVP or has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

Any ideas on how to "decelerate ATC" so that i can see if that's the problem?

I think you just have to recompile in EditVoicePack and untick the Acelerate ATC box. Let us know if that fixes it.

All sorted chaps.

It was caused by the Mrs having a spot of "finger trouble"  .
She wanted E-Bay and saw that there was a cancel button showing.EVP was updating.I'd checked the "accelerate ATC" box.
Result?EVP did as it was told and cancelled the update, leaving the job only half done. :dunno: :dunno:

I've re-updated again with the box checked and it all works fine :yipeee: :yipeee:

The Mrs will have her fingers chopped off in due course :o :o :o
