:) :) :)

The 2nd, 4th and 5th shots show the 'Reds' inbound to the display area.. the Gun Club. The 1st and 3rd show them in a LH turn to run in, eventually in the same direction as 2, 4 and 5. All this time, I was running along our flat roof at the back of the pub trying my hardest to see where they were going without falling over the side! It is pretty dramatic to see them in this environment. The pub sits on pretty high ground making the aircraft seem like they're diving below tree level.. which they are of course as our surrounding trees are much higher than the Gun Club a few miles down the road :) They certainly looked much tighter yesterday than they were at RIAT and given the low cloud base, this was even more impressive ;-)

Should have taken one of the dog too. She ran into the living room and ran back out with her lead in her mouth.. totally unfazed by the noise above. THIS from the dog that will cower if an MG drives past!!(an old one that is.. a proper one) She's been to balloon meets too and sat as good as gold while the burners were scaring the hell out of the humans!! An odd dog.. totally representative of an odd owner

The wx has been grand here today. Let's hope the wxmen got it wrong and tomorrow is fine too for Duxford ;-)
