I bought this scenery and am happy enough with it. As Trev said, more buildings would have been nice, but at the end of the day its a vast improvement on the default. FSX users will also need the Scotflight scenery to remove the rather conspicuous town between the south edge of the airfield and the River Eden.

Worth 14 squid? As Leuchars is my default base, I'd grudgingly say yes.

To get rid of the AI, just remove the AI bgls from the scenery folder.

Best wishes

Don't forget Andy that Leuchars is usually well used by private planes whenever there's a tournament at St Andrew's. :)

Trev: You can't win 'em all mate. But we usually win a fair share. ;-)

That's a fair comment MD ;-) I'm almost tempted to buy it just to have somewhere NON DEFAULT to fly from in FSX.. not that I really want to use FSX anyway :worried: :partyman:

Erhum. Nice one Steve. ;-)

I here what you say re. the Tech Site Trev.

With scenery you have to decide at an early stage just how much

you're going to put in. Every polygon drawn impacts frame rates a

little and makes the difference between a flyable scenery and a

pretty, technicolour slide show.

With Leuchars, and all those HAS' I decided to get the flight

line looking reasonably accurate as I saw it. That in itself is an

important point. "As I saw it". We don't all see things, or

remember things the in same way.

In fact the nearest I've ever been to Leuchars is the R&A at St

Andrews for the Open and that was so long ago they were all

wearing plus fours and had a mashie niblick in their bags.

Someone once said that "scenery is just something you leave

behind". Which is brutal but never the less true.

As for the AI. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the

included AI. They are "outsourced" and are arguably the very best

available. My colleage AS-Lightning has done a superb job on the traffic file ensuring that there's plenty of activity to watch even if you just want to sit and admire the view.

Price? Well I have my own views, of course, but I have little influence on the final decision.

Odd that, feel much the same way !.

I do think that generally pricing across the board ahs increased too much, not just AS, but overall it seems to have ballooned this year ?.
