Hi Techy

Make sure what ever you do is on a seperate layer.

That way you can maniupulate....add........reduce.....remove and you only affect they layer you are working on.

Always keep a layered copy as well in case you get a problem and your original doc gets lost or corrupted.....rare but it can happen.

By using seperate layers you can relax and have fun knowing that you can always go back

Now a question? Is there a way to copy an area of a photo and use that as a brush by using it to paint certain areas of the repaint? A cheat i know but can it be done?
Can you make a new brush this way?

Tricky, tricky! I will look into it for you as I am pretty certain you can do it in PS, so you probably can in PSP.

As for your smudge technique ( is that what they're calling it these days :o ) it sounds good - that's pretty much how I do it, bar the fact that I paint the streaks with a blurry brush in the first place, but the idea is the same.

Too bad about your wife, mate, sorry to hear that, but you've got a good home here (I think my wife thinks I'm an addict, well I am - but then she loves her soaps and celebs, so what the heck!)

Keep at it, you'll be uploading to the Pond in no time!

**EDIT OK, here's the scoop on creating a brush from an image in PS (you will have to 'translate' this to PSP9, perhaps with Garry's help). Don't forget though, that the brush acts like any normal brush, thereby inheriting whatever colour you have active in your palette (See example below).

"Use any selection tool to select a part of an image to use as a custom brush. Feather should be set to 0 pixels if you want to create a brush with a sharp edge. The brush shape can be up to 2500 pixels by 2500 pixels in size.
If you want to define a brush with soft edges, select pixels with gray values. (Colored brush shapes appear as gray values.)
Choose Edit > Define Brush Preset.
Name the brush, and click OK."

Little question for the wise and knowledgable.......The markings that we see on A/C in game i wondered if there is a website to go to where i can get things like warning signs or ejector markings and the like....Anyone know?

Hey there Techy111,
Don't make it too filthy....that particular Bucc may occasionally have been dirty,but never filthy.
It spent its' entire service career as a weapons test airframe at RAE West Freugh and Bedford.

Incidentally, that was the second variation of that scheme, originally the rudder,ailerons,flaps and tailplane flaps were painted red, and the green was more akin to 'British Racing Green' or 'Brunswick Green'
