Re: AI Aircraft
Read this file first: bbgrfs.zip (from Flightsim.com)
And then come back..
I'm sure many things will be somewhat clearer and the questions more specific ;-)
It will take some studying to generate good AI traffic. At the very least you need aircrafts/repaints, flightplans and ICAO codes.....
There is also some very good forums at either PAI or WOAI.

And the first two things you will need are Lee Swords TTools and ACAFCAD - trying to remember I picked up a dynamite
tutorial which I used when I first started building AI darned if I can find it now

Re: AI Aircraft
Using TTools and AFCAD really depends on whether you are using FS9 or FSX... take a stroll too over at FSDeveloper as well.
There are many tutorials out there, Google for "AI tutorial" and/or FS9/FSX, and I'm sure you'll get some hits ;-)

Once you have found tutorials for TTools , I suggest to download something like Mike Stones Cessna Titan (frame friendly)
and build yourself a point to point flight plan as a tester (its what I did) - I also have a collection o general aviation flight
plans that make some of the off the wall destinations our VA uses (Like ermmm Texel International) a little more
interesting =- (I built a series of skydiving flight plans using the default Caravan , a Short Skyvan and a Helio from
Texel on weekends - so there are immense possibilites once you get rolling.
