Ben
Ruins the effect of the avatars somewhat
I don't have one so perhaps won't worry me?

Hi Ian,
You've lost me. What ruins the effect of the avtars? We were talking about Calypso's screen shot having the wrong orientation.

Ben
I meant that on a 1024 x 768 screen, the picture partly covers the avatar/text on the right.
And I just tried uploading a picture of an HS146, but even the message with it has got lost.
I will try again now.

This was going to be:
HS146 taken through Palma terminal mucky windows. Spent far too long there a month ago care of Last Choice Airways.
<<ok this time I browsed to the file AND "added the file".
But I get a message
"The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 256 KB."
Getting a 800 x 600 picture into 256kb is going to be tricky>>

Ah right... got you now Ian.
All of the 800 x 600's above ate about 50k which is about right. What image format are you using Ian? Can you try it as a JPG?

Logged out. Logged back in.
Tried the garden shot again but no joy. Same error message.
Strange how I seem to be the only one having this problem.

Ben
It was a JPG. Tried again and found I was saving as a 100% JPG :doho: (been playing around).
So here goes (77kb).
Nope: "The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 600 pixels wide and 800 pixels high. The submitted image is 800 pixels wide and 572 pixels high."
Try again at 640 x480 (48kb)
Still no: "The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 600 pixels wide and 800 pixels high. The submitted image is 640 pixels wide and 423 pixels high."
Ian
Edit: John - you are not the only one - I joined in to see if I could upload - no. But at least it establishes for Ben that this is not just you.

Thank you Ian.
I've been racking my brain in case it was something to do with my system, but it is still very strange that it works for Ben and not for us.
EDIT: Problem exists in both IE and Firefox.
