Any news of John's progress?

Mrs Hobby is now up and full of pain killers undergoing supervised solos on zimmer frame yesterday with supervised solos on crutches to come today (Wednesday). May have spinal op later in week but this is not yet confirmed. We have had nine years with no problems since the last episode, I am told that we have been lucky. Current further long term outlook from the medics. Continuous degeneration to be slowed by prescribed medication, Mrs H advised to quadruple swimming from current 1/2-1 mile per week tp 2-4 miles over 4 sessions.

Many thanks for the all the supporting messages. We do appreciate them.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the good wishes. I managed to escape from hospital last night. Although I was in pain when I went to hospital saturday I didn't expect to be admitted and kept in for so long. Off IV anti-biotics now so they have let me home but have to remain with leg elevated as much as possible so this is just a quick check-in to let you know I'm hopefully well on the road to recovery. Another week on anti-b's then back for a check-up to make sure all is well.

Hobby, sorry to hear of your wife's plight and hope she is on the mend soon.

Ben, website looking rather swish! Good work!

Always a relief these days to hear that someone has escaped from hospital successfully. Pleased to hear that piece of news John. Hope your recovery continues with no setbacks.

Mrs Hobby is to have operation on spine tomorrow.

One never quite realises how much time one has to spend shopping, cooking, ironing and travelling to and from hospital so very busy here with just minutes to visit forum and no time for computer flying.

Many thanks for all your messages which Mrs Hobby will be surprised to see when she returns home sometime in the next few days.
