Erm, heads up, HS-125.....

Hello, I'm new here but I like the look of the place.
Nice to see some comment on my 125 effort already, and yes I did put a lot of effort into it.
About being picky, why not, but finding info on this model was awkward and I used mainly photos form Airliners.net.
The early models are based on photos of old Australian aircraft. I new there was a problem with the nose but just couldn't seem to get it right.
No problems doing a remake with some helpful pointers. Although animating the nose gear doors is a pain.
I also tried hard to get it to fly decently, but it still needs something. The textures are rubbish and there is a New Zealander who claims to be redoing them and adding some NZ textures as well.
Cheers Marty

Hell Marty
Nice to have you here
I hope we don't seem harsh but believe me any criticism is intended to be helpful and constructive.
Toby Vickers is out Mr. 125 but any question you have just ask and there will be an answer usually very quickly.
There are members from all walks of life inside and outside aviation so something will always get sorted.

Thanks for the welcome
And any pointers that will help me make a better model, are indeed most welcome and appreciated. But not textures, I am hoping If I can make the model well enough, others with more ability than I will do repaints.
I would also like to find information on the Beagle aircraft and the Airedale in particular. Not enough representation of the UK light aircraft industry in the FS world for my liking.
Thanks

Hello (or G'day!) Marty,
welcome to the Forum mate. I have the upmost respect for anyone that gives something for the rest of us to enjoy. Well done on the release of the model and certainly one that the FS world has been longing for. You have a world of knowledge here on the forum and I'm glad you signed up.
Best wishes

I suffer from paranoid amnesia. I can't remember who I don't trust.Indeed, and also for anyone who is willing to learn, of which you clearly are.VEGAS wrote:I have the upmost respect for anyone that gives something for the rest of us to enjoy.
I'm sure you're aware of the many talented developers here, and I'm sure they'd be willing to help and give advice in future... well, if it's regarding a classic Brit, perhaps.

Welcome Marty
Hope you didnt think I was being too harsh - I did download and fly it from
Adelaide to Hay to give it a try. Youve come to the right place for help
As Garry said - Toby Vickers is Mr 125 and can help you greatly -
If I may offer one thought - You may also wish to talk to Brian (Horse)
Horsley about the Flight model - it behaves far too much like a Lear45
than a Viper powered 125. As to Beagles - specifically the Airedale I
understand there are several airworthy copies in Australia and New
Zealand
Personally I would love to see G-ASTX flying again - the
best light twin NEVER produced
Good Luck mate - as I said youve come to the right place for help

It looks like the Dominie is in very capable hands and as such I will move on to something new. I made 4 fuselages for this aircraft and was still not happy with any of them so in the end I left it as you see it now. The funny thing is I searched several times for UK flight sim sites for advice but could not find any and the sites I did ask for advice, yielded no replies.
About 20,000 people have down loaded the few planes I have made and although there is/was plenty of room for advice/improvements I had but a single offer of help on one model.
As I mentioned earlier I am quite keen to make a Beagle Airedale and so far internet research has not been very helpful. I will contact a couple of owners and see if they will help.
Thanks for the welcome and as for comments, I have a very thick hide, besides I need to know where I am going wrong or there is no way forward.
