101 uses for an old classic

Post by VEGAS »

Hi all,

I found this quite an interesting read and was amazed to discover what some folks will do to maintain the spirit of an old Aircraft. Including turning a 748 into a playhouse for the kids!

My wife and I went to the Helicopter Museum at Weston-super-Mare yesterday and ever since she's been going on about having a chopper fuselage in our front garden as a sort of glazed garden shed!

There are a few problems with this of course a) How the devil would we get one there? b) What would the neightbours say? c) What would the Council say? d) The one she really liked was the Westland WG30!!!!

I know the Museum has the largest collection of WG30s anywhere in the world but she wants me to see if they'll sell one. I'm still not sure if she's serious or not...........
Regards
Kit
