Not British, very debatable classic status I suppose, but something about a fugly aircraft that doesn't really fly really endears this to me. I'm off to purchase now. For a snip over a tenner it doesn't exactly break the bank.

There was a smaller, but just as ugly, WIG released about 18 months ago, I still have it stashed somewhere. Great fun to 'fly' so long as you don't dig a wing tip in the sea on turns.
Saying the larger one '...rivalled the Spruce Goose in size' is pushing thigs a bit though. 144 ft span against 320 ft? I don't think so..........
It's even 20 ft or so short on length too, but they did both fly at about the same altitude
