Is there a way of turning off 'Mr Don't Sink' in FSX...he is doing my head in!!!

The best way I found was to delete the appropriate sound files (GPWS*.wav). Or have a look here for other methods.

Yeah assign a key to the "GPWS" and switch it off....

Like James.. I binned them to a new 'bitching betty' folder inside the main sound folder. Peace and tranquility once more :wink:

Thanks Guys, all sorted! I still prefer FS9 Tony, but this MP stuff is a little addictive. Still riddled with bugs, however :shock:

Likewise Trev :wink: I still use FS9 for any serious stuff but for MP, FSX really kicks @rse :bandit:

Hi Folks

Ultimate method to silence BB -

Open up the settings\controls\buttons menu in FSX.

Select 'systems' in the event category drop down

Find an assignment called 'GPWS(Toggle)'

Assign a key to this
and you'll be able to silence the GPWS system at will.
