Scenery question - the difference between FS X and FS9

Post by AndyG »

Maybe one of those who has crossed to the Dark Side can answer a little question for me?

If there is a scenery pack released for FS X will it also work in FS9? There was a very nice addon at Avsim yesterday for Baden-Sollingen, as it was when the Canadians were using it (they are almost British, so this counts!!!), it would be nice to know if I can use it in my Retro install?

As far as I'm aware, any scenery which is developed with the FSX SDK will not work in FS9. This may or may not be the case with this scenery. I don't see what you would lose (apart from time) by giving it a go!

On the other hand, scenery for FS9 MAY work in FSX, if all the planets are aligned correctly and you're feeling lucky!

Actually, I've just tried it. Nothing in FS9!

Edit: Here's a couple from FSX!

I see now how FSX is superior in every way to FS9. Except from framerate and loading times! :crying:
