Not sure I agree with that sort of arrangement.. especially as Alpha have for years offered cross-platform models of just about everything they've done and all for one price. They're pretty much unique in doing so and it's something I'd like to see continue OK.. the time may come when FS9 no longer rules the roost and I'd expect FSX ONLY models to start appearing but I don't think that's gonna happen in the next month or even 12months.
A difficult one to call for sure but I'd rather wait a little longer and get a superior (less rushed) product that will cover both current platforms. If I'm gonna be charged $40nzd for the likes of the Hudson.. I'd expect that to be valid for FSXI and just imagine how dated it will look then!
It has to be both or none at all l'm afraid, thats the end of it, you'd be suprised at the hate mail when people buy FS9 'only' model and bitch that it doesnt work in FSx, or fill the forums with is it ready yet posts.
Not on my list to buy at the mo... The VC is almost as bad as the 2D - little in the way of contrast on the window frame (or much else) to bring it to life. Also other anomalies in the shape of the fuse (look at rear of turret in the photo and sim versions above.
This one looks like one of the (much) poorer Alphasim models for quite some time.
Just noticed while looking at the Valkyrie vid over at Alphasim that the Hudson has dropped from $40NZD to $35.90NZD  Dunno if that makes it any more acceptible
The Victor isn't half bad actually James. It'll overspeed in the blink of an eye but it's very pretty to look at from the outside (if you like that kind of thing and I do! ). UKMIL have done an impressive amount of paints for it too which is always a bonus
