If it was a Vigilante, Gary, then that was a regular carrier-born US navy bomber.

Hi Paul

It was a Vigilante....just last night I had a scrambled brain (not unusual) and got the names mixed up

Things looks very different this morning :worried:

Hi all

Took her up for a testflight last night and my god is she is a handful!

I'll have to get to grips with her!

Looking at that shot Paul posted.. I reckon it's probably longer than one of our carriers flight decks  Interesting to see how fast the Ark would have gone with that little tinker strapped down and the throttles opened!

Anyone going to post shots of the model in the sim??

Edit.. Welcome to the forum Iain

Aye, I know the feeling well, Gary. Theakston's Old Peculier gets me mixed up between Stratocruisers and Stratocasters late at night.

Dave, I'll probably be getting this 'un soon, so I'll post some shots if nobody else does.

Cheers Paul. I just popped over to Alpha and watched the promo vid which at 2mins.. is at least 28mins too short  I don't think it's gonna make it's way into my collection but it's an interesting subject/model. Pity the poor old Hudson wasn't to the same standard

Thanks Dave

The Valkyrie looks good, I particularly like the reheat effects. Bit too much smoke though IMHO but the sounds are fantastic as too are the animations

I doubt you've ever seen pictures of the XB-70 then if you think that there's any chance of FS being able to produce anywhere near enough smoke...

Is that the USAAF copying Gene Roddenberry or the other way round?? Probably the former. The largest threat the US had to guard against then was the Klingons :worried:
