Seems to be a few posts missng re possible piracy

Post by Rich »

Re some skuldgery, this I think should be discused since we have such excellent freeware authors and lousey payware authors who belive that since they are payware they are better, sorry the likes of the PSS Vulcan now sold under a different name is a prime example, as far as I can tell it is the Fs2 Concorde airfile, mach 2 capable but without the sophisticated fuel transfer for trim and therefore unflyable. I would like to see these purvayers put theire offerings out as trial ware rather than someone paying full whack with no chance of getting a refund if it is crap.

Rich,

As far as I am aware, the PSS Vulcan is sold only by PSS and Just Flight, with a 'contribution' going to XH558's restoration.

Have I missed something else happening?

:dunno: Sorry Rich but you lost me on this one.

Is it the Vulcan you bought and found something not right with it?

There was an issue this morning were a member posted advising of a bit torrent site where payware could be downloaded free of charge. The posts have been deleted by the mods.

It was done in good faith, but it should be noted that we in no way condone software piracy, nor will we allow the forum to be used to promote it.

As far as we are concerned that matter has been dealt with and is all water under the bridge, but please remember that piracy of either freeware or payware is iligeal.

Andy the only difference between the PSS offering and the Just flight is PSS has only 1 model and paint, Just Flight has a few different models and paints, they both use the same lousey Concorde airfile which even the autopilot can't fly.

PSS had no real support they would direct you to the forum I posted there about it and that on looking at the airfile with a editor I found in one section entitled Yet Another Name " Concorde" which explains its mach 1 plus capabilities.

That section has since dissapeared from the airfile as did critical posts in the forum.

Nigel H-J hope this clears your question, I bought it when it was reduced to 10 pounds, think it has gone back up again

To be fair, the Just Flight repaints are available on the PSS site.

I bought it from both places (at different times) anyway, on the basis that some money went to '558.

There are a stack of repaints over at Flightsim as well, largely from the UKMil stables.
