Hi,
I have an ATI card and have an issue with disabling application preferences. I have my card set to ignore application settings. In FS9 my display does not always carry out these 'instructions'. I have the anti-aliasing etc settings in FS9 set as if I want FS9 to control them but in the ATI CCC I set the preferences and select Disable catalyst AI. The thing is, I have to alternate switching this setting on/off depending what I see in FS. If I see the jaggies, I can switch it on and then back to FS9 and the jaggies dissapear and all looks good. I can then minimise the game but when I go back to it the jaggies are back. I then go to ATI CCC switch off Catalyst AI, back to FS and the jaggies have gone. If I go back and forth between FS and the desktop, the jaggies alternate and I have to switch on/off the catalyest AI setting. I've just updated to the latest catalyst drivers hoping it would cure the problem but it hasn't.
Any suggestions?
Rgds

This has been documented on these forums before, it turns out it's a problem with the ATI CCC.
If you head to NGOHQ they offer alternative versions of the drivers with the older (and better) style control panel instead of the bloated CCC.

You're looking for the drivers that are listed as "Description: CP", not the "Description: CCC" ones.
